A short walk, for instance, will take you to Anterselva lake at the feet of the Vedrette di Ries peaks, to the picturesque Braies Lake or to Dobbiaco Lake. On stifling summer days, it will be a pleasure to take a dip in their cool waters or go for a boat ride.

The “Concordia” Peace Bell at Plan de Corones
For many years now the Concordia peace bell has dominated the summit of Plan de Corones at an altitude of 2,275 m a.s.l. and bears the inscription “Donet deus populis pacem” (May God Give Peace to the People) that is the sense of the bell itself. The installation setting of the bell, that weighs about 18 tonnes and is over 3 m high, resembles a crown. Due to its special position and its artistic foundation, that bears a bas relief depicting the surrounding scenery, it is certainly well worth visiting.
